No German beer at the 2006 World Cup in Germany? Arrrrgggghh.

In brewing news, the IPA is turing out nicely. We bought ingredients for a bohemian pilsner but are dragging our asses on making it. It should still be ready for mid/late summer, though.

Off to a homebrew festival this weekend, yum...

So our pal Greg at the homebrew shop says leaving our IPA to secondary-ferment for 3 1/2 weeks won't hurt the beer -- on the contrary, a big beer like that will be even better. He usually leaves his IPAs for a month. Sweet!

Bought ingredients for a Czech pilsner, which will be our first foray into dry malt. It's getting warm in LA, so we'll also need to set up a bath (fill a tub with water and/or ice, cover beer with t-shirt, beer stays cool in warmer months). Oh, to have room for a brewing fridge!
